Meet Shani

With over 10 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Shani has built an impressive career with notable positions at IC Bellagio, Hotel Football, Hilton Garden Inn, and Stock Exchange. She began her journey in hospitality at IC Bellagio on Lake Como, where she curated unforgettable experiences for discerning travelers. Before joining TROO Hospitality, Shani was an integral part of the pre-opening team at Hotel Football, serving in the Commercial team. She later became the Reservation Manager at Hilton Garden Inn and then opened Stock Exchange as Revenue Manager in 2019. Shani has demonstrated her expertise in revenue management by successfully increasing average room rates and consistently maintaining RGI scores well above market share.

Where is your favourite hotel in the world and why?
In 2009, at the age of 18, I had the privilege of staying at the Hotel Santa Caterina on the Amalfi Coast. It was a transformative experience. Everything from the breathtaking views, the interior decor, delicious food and amazing service was worlds away from what I had ever experienced before. It was during this stay that I realized my passion for the hospitality industry, and I knew then that I wanted to be a part of creating such memorable experiences for others.

What’s your favourite country in the world and why?
Italy – I have been visiting Italy from a young age, having family who have lived in Bellagio, Lake Como for over 25 years. After leaving school, I had the chance to join IC Bellagio for 6 months work experience, which led to a full-time position where I spent the first 3 years of my career. During this time, I was able to travel to many different parts of the country and fell in love with the lifestyle, culture, scenery and of course, the delicious food and wine.\

What is your greatest achievement?

During the COVID-19 national lockdown, Stock Exchange Hotel and Hotel Football stayed partially open to accommodate NHS doctors and nurses working on the frontline. I volunteered to be part of a team of 6 who lived in the hotel for 4 months to take care of the NHS workers. It was an incredibly rewarding experience to be able to give back to those who were giving so much of themselves to help others. I am proud to have been a part of this effort and grateful for the opportunity to support our frontline workers during such a challenging time.
